CINDY RICE SHELTON

Cindy Rice Shelton, the visionary behind Sideline Shutter, brings over 15 years of expertise in capturing the essence of sports, wildlife, and more. As a photographer of Division I Athletics at the University of Louisville and a professional at high-profile events like the Kentucky Derby for the Associated Press, Cindy’s portfolio showcases her talent for freezing moments of intensity and emotion. Just prior to launching Sideline Shutter, Cindy was also a photographer for Sports Illustrated Louisville from 2020-2023.

Beyond sports, her passion for wildlife and canine photography shines through her use of Olympus OM-D E-M1X and OM-1 cameras, producing captivating images. Cindy has recently shot three NCAA Final Fours and Championship events in Volleyball and Women’s Basketball. Her other favorite events include shooting Baseball Super Regionals, Field Hockey, and Swimming and Diving. 

In addition to Cindy’s camera and experience, she has developed a team of professionals alongside her at Sideline Shutter that utilize photography, videography, and aerial drones.

JARED ANDERSON

Photographer

Jared began photography in 2016. He photographed over 750 sporting events including the University of Louisville, the Triple-A Louisville Bats, 2 NCAA Final Fours for women’s basketball, and several ACC Tournaments.

Jared’s photos have been used by dozens of Division I athletic programs around the country, the ACC Network, the Minor League Baseball organization, and Gannett Co., Inc. His work has also been used by local media such as Cardinal Couple, the State of Louisville, Card Chronicle, River City Cards, and Sports Illustrated Louisville.

MARK WILCOXSON

Photographer

Mark purchased his first camera in 1972. He began learning to shoot film through self-education while reading books and years of trial and error. It didn’t take long before he fell in love with photography and began pursuing it as a serious career interest. The anticipation of viewing what was captured still burns in him today as he applies new technology to his decades of experience.

2013-2015: Wrote column and photography for Hilltopper Haven website.

2016- 2022. Assisted Mike Clevenger from the Louisville Courier Journal in shooting the KY. Oaks & Derby.
